How to Make Homemade Fermented Honey Garlic

Image
Fermented honey garlic has many health benefits as long as you use all-natural, raw or wild honey. You probably are reading this because you already know that (if not, you can always do a search). Why would you want to make your own fermented honey garlic instead of just buying the highly commercial ones? 1. You know the ingredients (quality). 2. It's cheaper (you shoulder the labor, though). All you need: 1. Garlic 2. Raw or wild honey 3. Glass jar Let me show you what it looks like before the fermentation. What you need to do: 1. Sort and peel garlic. I remove the small cloves because I'm using the big ones. (Next time I'd like to try the Ilocos variety because of its potency. I'm just not looking forward to peeling tiny cloves.) I stopped peeling the rest because my fingers started to burn with the garlic heat. 2. Get your jar and fill up to 3/4. (This is my old jar with some honey from my previous ferment.) 3. Fill the...

Confirm Your SIM Registration ASAP

Image
I have done registering both my SIMs at the time it was announced to be open for registration. I got the confirmation some weeks later. I am confident that my SIMs will continue to be active passed the first deadline (before it was extended). Yesterday, though, when I checked my TNT balance, I got a message that my SIM is not registered. I have Globe and TNT (Smart). Some weeks ago I have checked the network apps and seen that my numbers are registered.  Since my problem is with TNT, here is my proof screenshot last April 21. Today? I tried to call *888 but no way to reach a real person. So I just re-registered. So for you, if you are confident you are registered, MAKE SURE you are.  UPDATE : (A few hours after the above post...) I was requested to go directly to a SMART branch, and so I did. The person assisting me was supposed to confirm my registration through the system but said that since yesterday it has been down. So nothi...

Unmasked Series: What to Do With the Truth Affects Our Future

Image
Do we not all want the truth or do we just want to believe the lie? Probably because it's convenient, we've been used to it, or we just didn't know it was a lie. Below is a series that will affect your future, whether you believe it or not, or whether you do something about it or not. In a court, you take both sides, listen to both sides, then you decide. The Bible is used when one has to swear to "tell the truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God." Are you for Team Truth or Team Lie? Whatever team you choose, it will affect your future. Five videos are presented below.

How to Make Your Own Homemade Sauerkraut

Image
Sauerkraut has been one of my go-to fermented foods since I learned to do it myself. I did not have the capacity to buy it so I'll do the labor instead and hubhy buys the cabbage. We've been trying to eat healthy as much as we can, with the very little budget that we have. Since many health problems come from the gut, solution must have something to do with the gut. Sauerkraut is one of them. It also does not break the budget as much as others do (like kimchi). We live in the city. The best we can do is buy from the market. Choose one that is heavy for it's size. Don't wait too long before you prep it. The best time is when it's been freshly harvested. Always start with clean everything.

Solution for Added GCash Security

Many have lost money from GCash without their knowing. Not even an OTP to alert them that someone is hacking into their accounts. Since many do use GCash what can one do to have additional security? Solution :

A Tale of Two Digital Wallets in the Philippines: GCash vs Maya

Image
For more than a decade ago, GCash and Paymaya were the two digital wallets that people in the Philippines used. Gcash gained more popularity over Paymaya. Perhaps due to name recall since it got ahead over Paymaya.  It's also a battle between Globe vs Smart. Before they became open to all networks the only ones who can apply are those using the same networks. When I closed my Unionbank debit account because I had to pay maintenance every year, I found Paymaya to be the best to attach to my Paypal account and I did not even spend anything to do so. Years went by then Paymaya turned into a bank and changed its name to Maya. It was a good move. Short. Two syllables just like GCash. Being a bank, though, is its best benefit.

Getting Back Up After a Very Long Hiatus

I can't recall how long ago was it when I stopped blogging. Probably in 2012. Based on my Blogger blogs, I started in December of 2006. In 2007 I started being more consistent, especially when I have found online friends who also blogged. I think it was in 2008 when i began buying my own domains. I remember I accumulated around 3 dozens, which I also gave up due to high maintenance.  I used to say that my pen (or keyboard) is mightier than my tongue. I guess it still is. I just got to a point that I stopped writing. Probably because I became more interested in crafting. I've been a crafter since I was a kid but it was in 2011 when I was given the opportunity to expand into fiber arts (crochet, knit). Someone special enabled me (gave me yarn, hooks, needles) and so my focus switched. We all have 24 hours in a day. We can only do so much.  So why am I restarting my blogging?
